Meet Dr. Thompson:
One of the first things people notice about Dr. Thompson is that his sense of humor, lifetime experiences, and attitude about life make it a joy to listen to him. Dr. Thompson has been speaking and conducting seminars from coast to coast and in Hawaii. He has appeared on television and radio talk shows and has conducted seminars, retreats, and "keynotes" for many corporate, religious and civic organizations. He speaks to groups on the subjects of education, youth motivation, marriage and relationships, as well as Health Care Labor management, risk management and agency relations.
From his experiences as a teacher, dean of students, health care consultant, and administrator, Vern has developed a unique style of counseling and problem solving. He is a seasoned presenter who combines humor and pathos, and he is available for personal counseling. Following the death of his first wife after 28 years of marriage, Vern married Jill, and their family now includes 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Vern and Jill’s combined talents have effectively benefited individuals whose lives have been touched by their personal approach. Dr. Thompson’s creedo is "Keep on keeping on."
Meet Jill Thompson:
Jill was born and raised on a farm in northern Iowa where she developed character traits of determination and patience, and these have been evidenced throughout her life.
Jill is an RN with both clinical and staff development experience. She has been an instructor for nursing courses for RN's, LPN's, and Activity Directors and has developed curriculum for all areas except obstetrics that have been used in several states. She is currently the nurse supervisor for an orthopedic surgeons clinic. Her presentation skills are appreciated as much as her concern for the personal needs of those in attendance.
Not only does Jill have knowledge of the physical implications of relationships but she also has developed a sensitivity and understanding of dealing with the stresses of a divorce experience, battered wife syndrome and single parenting.
Jill enjoys playing the keyboard, and together with Vern's speaking, they give interpretive presentations of songs and passages.
Jill believes decisions are imperative.
Meet Michelle Pedigo:
Raised in an environment where traditional education was combined with unique opportunities for non-traditional learning, Michelle found the value of creativity and thinking. She is a certified EMT, is a certified CPR/First Aid instructor, has a master’s degree in business, and is completing a masters degree in Christian counseling. Michelle has worked with students of all ages in classroom settings, field training, and through community and public education courses.
Michelle's positive, honest, and direct yet caring personality puts people at ease and makes them feel comfortable sharing and counseling with her. Michelle has been a parent advisor, school board member, youth group director, dog trainer and rodeo mom. She loves animals, and enjoys reading, sports, music, home improvement projects and being in the country.
Michelle has a passion for working with people and through wisdom, strength and example, encourages others to see into their own hearts and learn to live. Together, she and her husband, Mark, endeavor to create safe places where people reclaim their wholeness and are free to live from their hearts. They have 2 grown daughters, 1 daughter in college, 1 teenage daughter, and 2 (male) dogs.
